One of my favourite quotations has been "Life goes on and that is progress" by Charles Spencer Chaplin. He had used this dialogue in 'Limelight', one of his handful straight serious movies with dialogue released in the year of 1952, bagging Academy awards for 'best original background score'. The famous song 'Smile' he had composed, had been used in 'Modern Times' as its theme music and background score all through and still is remade by vocal stars of global fame and repute including the infamous Soul star Seal and all-time pop legend Michael Jackson.
My son, a fan of this all-time acting legend has been trying his hands in basic digital artwork leaving his pencils, for sketching due to lock-down state of things when getting the right paper is a fancy...so this is what he has created on his smartphone today with the tip of his fingers only and is deeply contended with his own performance that at least he can do the basics now....Thus he names this digital sketch "Modern Smile" -- an apt lashing satire with the present global and national backdrop.
