THE HIDDEN DEPTH

Brain drain has been one of the most pivotal issues in the recent decade not only in West Bengal but all over India. Agreed, that the Europeans are much more technologically civilised than the Indians but to be parallelled with the mental structure of the Indians, it would take another Doomsday to provide them the opportunity for Recreation.

Still for the educated mass in India there is a strange lure of the US and UK that always beacon them to earn the indexing foreign money and brag about it to their reatives in India as they disclose their pay only after the Indian conevrsion of that money. We, here in India with shot-out eyes, wonder the incredibility of the amount and start aspiring for the same.

Again agreed, that the western countries are much more aware of saving the world from pollution, agreed that they have optimised their utilitarian views on the use of different kinds of natural resources that generate power, but their getting nobler in the primary issues does not prove that in their countries there is no begger, nobody starves there, and the socio-economic condition is much better than us. Can you feel the chill down your spine that almost 6k Indian doctors in the UK itself are running jobless and they have nowhere to live and nothiong to eat? These bunch of wreched people are sheltered in different hindu ashrams or mosques for having the meals twice daily from there. They cant even return home to India because they do not have enough money, even.

Visiting any foreign country braodens ones mind because if the trip, tour or stay in there strengthens one in any other way round than sheer moneymaking. Indains even after their freedom for the last 62 years cannot get out the delirium of being enslaved. I call this the Hidden Depth Factor. We, however educated, are yet to learn to live with dignity when things boil down to the SAHIBS......

ESTRANGED

“Shayak was just loving to talk to Chitra long after their divorce.” ( Shayaker bhalo laagchhilo bichchder atodin por Chitrar songe katha bolte.) — that’s how the short-story The Fly-away Bird by Sanjib Singha ends.

We know neither Chitra nor Shayak; however we do know many a couple like them – those who are divorced but neither have lost love nor respect to the man or the woman whom a temporary, apparently non-negotiable turmoil forced towards an estrangement. In most of the cases we find either eternal human polygamic characteristic or addiction towards the fatal, inibriating liquor apart from the psychological disorders or accidents, are responsible for the whole unwanted event. Strangely enough, the responsible half quits the cause after the divorce.

Our mind runs inquisitive – then why not do it before the divorce. I personally feel that during that period of mental transition wrath and revenge take control of our ego and we start playing with ourselves without realizing it that we are playing with one non-existent factor or someone who is literally a Better-half. Again to quote and translate from the story, “Anger is a kind of power. The most of human beings never use this power for anything good. An enormous power lurks within LOVE, with the strength of which man dares even denying the social customs. Likewise in anger lurks a huge power. Man makes this power the determinant driving force to fight his life and in doing so in most of the cases strikes on the wrong points. At least so far he has been doing it. Isn’t every fight, however small, the misuse of anger?” Though the author’s explanation ends with a physical interrogation, nothing can be more assertive than it to conclude.

Actually growing older inculcates in us a more complex ego which in turn also gets inflexible and shrunk. Every twisting corner of life appears to be a fight and our ego wants to win them all, however small and unnecessary; northing else encompasses our minds but this win and we have learnt to win mostly through anger. When won, the cause the relevance, the pride, the domination vanishes because the ego is satiated, satisfied and gratified.

The fallacy in the whole process rests in the fact that the gratifying moment of winning this prolonged battle is a very short-lived one. When the cloud of avenging ego disperses, the lost rays of love shower compassion on both the oppressor and the oppressed.

Remember, dear friends, life is also a holy war where only the truth of love wins. So, come all!!!! Set the word understanding free from the blemishes of ‘compromising’ and splash it with the hues of the eternal truth of LOVE. After all, in life, love and hate collide to create a fission that produces resultant energy unparalleled. It is solely your choice whether to use it to satiate a momentary gratification of your ego or your humane soul.

LOVE'S LABOUR LOST

Its very easy romancing these days…. In fact nothing can be easier than dating with a man or a woman. The word ‘romancing’ has run clichéd. Sms has taken the place of writing love letters.

Issac Asimov, the famous science-fiction writer of the present day had long conceived of a school which would not have a separate building, would not have men or women as teachers, would not have books. Instead thousands of books would be fed in the memory of the mechanical teacher (a computer-like machine) that would have its place next to the bedroom and would be assigned to teach only a single student in house only.

Love would perhaps have to squeeze out the least labour for attaining the hearts of the crushes. God knows what device would be invented to replace a man or a woman in search of a love-pack ( I don’t mean the rubbers of course).Gone are the days already when ones perseverance resulted into a long-awaited-letter from the other half ; going through each line of which made the heart pounding like the train on the track and of course not to speak of the white spaces between those delusive lines that made imagination sprout out in full bloom and weave dreams with the virtual silken thread for attainment.

It is not there anymore. Junk your boy or gal-friend anytime you like because you deserve better and there is no room for compromise that we call understanding with an added pallor of sanity.

Whatever it is …. Love cannot wait these days because there is no labour in it.

THE DARK SIDE OF ME

Its me LUCIFER.....During my childhhood the arch-rival of Mandrake, the magician, who was named so, had influenced me and after that my maturity was enthralled to find Lucifer the most pragmatic, wise and powerful prowess one can conceive of.....He stands for the masculinity, self respect and defiance.....all that I can identify in myself.....

Home Alone

Its not about the movie....it's about every human being who really needs some SPACE to delve deep within oneself in the round-the clock-hurriedness. Every step of life is caged. People who try pathetically to prove that they are not alone quite publicly are found to be the loneliest ones and do need empathy.

We must learn to make the best use of our loneliness. It is a scope that situtaions provide us to curve out the best within ourselves.....

Paradise Regained

Well....undoubtedly smoking does have a detremental effect on our general health. I really did wish quitting it altogether through the revelation through The Telegraph that it hardly matters whether one smokes a single fag a day or a couple of packs. My determination had been underlined by few more strokes that my favourite actor Amir Khan has quit smoking ( it may sound rather teenish) and the review that in India the success rate of quitting smoking is as trailing as 2 per cent only.

However by the rule of the thumb of the smokers I somehow managed my way to the self gratification of one single cigarette a day with the logic of the doctors that I have consulted with regarding the revelation of The Telegraph that it was just a single document which says that one or one hundred, the same is the effect and it pales into insignificance with much larger researches that IT DOES MATTER.

So I am what I had been a monthe ago......its a reversal to PARADISO.
